We're Davide and Barbara, an Italy-based couple. Through That Dream Elsewhere, we share visual travel guides, distinctive stays and the places we explore together.
That Dream Elsewhere brings photography and practical travel information together — inspiration for discovering somewhere new, followed by the details that help turn an idea into a journey.
Our story
That Dream Elsewhere began in 2019 as a place for the photographs and notes we brought home from our travels.
The idea was to create the kind of travel site we looked for ourselves: visually inspiring, personal and useful when planning a trip.
Since then, it has grown into a collection of destination guides and visual stories, alongside selected work with hotels and destinations. Whatever the format, everything begins with a place we have experienced together and want to share.

The destinations that stay with us have a character of their own — historic cities, coastlines, islands, distinctive landscapes and hotels where design, atmosphere and hospitality become part of the journey.

Every guide begins with a journey we have taken ourselves, and the photographs are ours. We combine first-hand experience with the practical research needed to make each guide genuinely useful.
